case discount

Last night after our respective days we went to the liquor store to buy wine for the warming. People who know us will know how funny this is as Virginia doesn't drink and never has.... and I quit drinking just before I left my very bad marriage and have never touched it since. We picked out a variety of wines because our ever-expanding guest list is growing to wonderful proportions and we want to be sure that there is something for everybody.
At the checkout the nice owner of this tiny, privately owned shop (who only sees us when we buy wine as gifts for family right before Christmas) looked at us with mild surprise as he surveyed our intended purchase. I watched him and just tried not to giggle. He rang up all the bottles as his son put them in boxes for us, and he then informed us that he would give us the case discount because we bought so much. I just had to laugh, and Virginia, looking mildly horrified, said that those words had never been uttered to her before.
Stick with me Baby...... There's always a first time for everything!

Your story made me smile and I needed to do that because I had an awful night. All my love to you two. Be happy and be well. :)
I am so very excited for you and I know ya'll are going to have a ball. I'll be thinking of you. I wish I could be there. Lovingly, Anne
We had a priest arrive late to take my two children roller skating many years ago. He apologized by saying he had to pick up some wine. I was picturing one bottle of wine and was kind of wondering why he was late. Of course, he had a whole truck load to unload and put away in the parish for communion usage. So all was forgiven. ROFL

the love you both share is something to be cherished... many seek it, but not all find it. Blessings to you both... from chilly central florida (it may get into the 20's this week or even teens I hear!!)
Interesting concept having a "Warming Party"..I bet you would get many more people coming if they only knew where your new Space was...in other words..is it in DC, Md., Va, this I have not seen and am guessing....btw I have a friend online who lives in Md. area and comutes to DC on a reg. bassis and I suggested to her that she needs to visit your studio..as she visits your blog on a regular basis as well as mine.
