a later night than normal

Yesterday was a great day from start to finish. I started early to address more postcards for mailing and then stopped at Plaza to pick up four 30 x 40 canvases that had been ordered for me. Still packed in the shipping box they were in pristine condition and a nice man even loaded the whole shipping container in my car. Fredrix has recently raised their prices on their highest quality canvases, which is disappointing in the current economic situation. I wouldn't think that it would be a positive business model at the moment and may have to explore new canvas options for high quality and affordability.
A stop at home to carry/drag the big heavy box inside and back out the door to mail postcards and get to work in the studio. I am still working on the succulent and spent the entire day at the easel. Virginia came by for dinner and I painted until 9 pm while the Spring Dance was held at the art center. Great live music and lots of people stopped by, including a couple that has been quietly watching the progress on the succulent, and they let me know that they were pleased with how the painting is coming.
A gorgeous day outside... smell the fresh Spring air.
