spring studio supplies ~ chocolate and flowers

Virginia took me shopping to stock up on vital studio supplies.... chocolate for visitors and flowers for inspiration and decoration!
I love this time of year when the leaves are fully out on the trees and a rich shade of green.... flowers thrive in profusion and everyone seems so happy to be outside. We spent the day in the studio yesterday, Virginia and I, and although the elevators never opened up for the day to let the public in, we had one special visitor who traveled a long way to come and see the studio. A long time reader of this blog, it was great to meet her and have her there in my space. Hopefully she and her husband will get to visit again when the art center is buzzing and busy. A parade went by outside and the square was crowded with lots of residents and visitors enjoying the festivities.
I turned the music up loud and worked all day on the commissioned piece. It is finally on its way to completion and should need just a few more days of painting to finish before I move on to the next work. This weekend was a nice mix of work time and downtime and I got a lot done. The Artsy Newsletter went out last night and should be waiting in your inbox if you have subscribed:) To subscribe, look in my sidebar to the right!
