30 inches of snow

For a change in pace you can read my post this morning by clicking on the picture and reading the caption at Flickr......... they are calling it "the Blizzard of 2010" "Snowmageddon" and "Snowpocalypse"...... all are quite fitting. We got 30 inches here in my neighborhood.

A BIG snow storm is on its way..... just a few hours from now. I plan to do amazing amounts of work on PR and advertising from my home studio, and will sip some hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.

another day's progress on the canvas

Once the birds are painted I will adjust the composition around them for some details and shadowing, and then finally this painting will be completed. The birds have waited patiently for months for me to finally get back to this canvas when I had time to focus, and I am glad that I waited until I really had the concentration to dedicate to finishing the piece.

It is going to be a good year of painting!
