pennies from heaven

PEACOCK

poinsettia 300dpi process image

It is still dark and raining quite hard outside this morning as the daily ritual of "up at 5 to do computer/business-related tasks before starting my regular day" progresses. I love this quiet time in the morning to dream, think, and ponder, and without this time to get my head together in the morning, the day is just not the same. I accomplish an amazing amount of work in this couple of hours with a triage list of most important tasks for the day.

This morning's task: BRAINSTORMING!

I am sitting on the board for the art center where I maintain my studio, and their annual campaign is coming up. In these challenging economic times they are focusing on the small donations that together make up the monies to support all of the art center's amazing education and outreach programs, and ultimately my opportunity to maintain a studio there. I have decided to put a unique spin on my requests on behalf of the art center, and for a $10 or more donation, I will email kind supporters a high resolution file of either the Poinsettia painting from 2009, or Peacock Crimson, suitable for printing on notecards for your use.

Approximately 100 friends and supporters will be getting this letter in the mail from me and the VisArts organization, and just in case you are not on my mailing list (or have moved recently and not updated me), and would like this free gift in gratitude for your support of VisArts, please send me an email, to
judith@judithheartsong.com with your mailing address, and I will send a donation letter out to you. For $10 or more you can print, send and share a piece of art from this hardworking artist!

Boo

scare at the window

A Halloween party at the art center on Friday for artists and staff encouraged costumes, and some people went out of their way to be memorable:) I captured this delightful image outside my studio on my cell phone.... laughing all the while.
