A storm is coming.... after our too eventful week. We have bought non-perishables, stocked up on batteries and new little lanterns, gassed the cars, left some cash on hand and have parked as safely as we can for the coming rains and winds.

I spent yesterday at the studio, most of the day working on mixed media art to mail, and then toward the end of my day picked up all art, canvases, mixed media work, delicate papers stored in portfolios, etc, up off the floors as this will be the first serious storm I have experienced since beginning to occupy the new studio space.

I hope that everyone in harm's way will be safe, and that those homeless and without shelter will be taken in out of the path of this hurricane.
