we bought a house!

Thank you so much for all the notes from friends and loved ones. I am delighted to say that we have just closed on a wonderful house on a cul de sac in a quiet neighborhood, with a beautiful back yard just begging for stone paths, bird feeders, and flower gardens.

This house was the second property that we toured with our realtor, and I knew it was a good omen when I saw the red front door. It is a split level with a sunroom that has windows all around, a huge living room with a fireplace, a room that will make a perfect library for curling up with a good book, three bedrooms, two and a half baths, and a deck looking out onto that back yard where we will garden and dig in the dirt.

We are so looking forward to making this place our own, and those of you who know me well, and those who have visited my studio and gallery know that I am a nest builder.... someone who makes warm and enveloping spaces that feel good to be in.

Little by little we will pack and make the transition to the new space, and I will plant flowers and sew curtains and make quilts once again....... a new chapter begins.
